Last Sunday marked the first day of Autumn and I couldn't be happier about it, Don't get me wrong I love summer, the bbq's, the festivals, the lake, the pool but there is something special about the fall, it means i can finally wear leather leggings YES!! I'm kidding for us it means Bella's birthday is coming soon (actually it's today) it means is time for all the pretty colors outside, hot chocolate, pumpkin bars, carrot cake, blankets and hats.
I wanted to do something special to welcome Autumn but since I knew our Sunday was going to be crazy busy, I decided to do something on Friday night I had about 3 hours before Amner got home from work, so I got to work.
First I stop at La mie for bread I wasn't even sure what I was going to make at this point but the smell of the place ahh!! of all the bread always helps me get ideas going on my mind, I picked a french baguette and decided to make a baked-eggplant parmesan our favorite recipe is from here, while I was cooking I decided to take our dinner al fresco.
The kids were so excited helping me set up the table with flowers and candles, when Amner got home they shut "SURPRISE" he brought home a bottle of wine, then we all help taking the meal outside and just like that, with something so simple I made my little family very happy.
Happy Thursday!!
P.S thank you so so much everybody for all the love on our wedding post, I am still working on a couple more posts about it so I hope you are not tired of it yet!
Laura.
