STYLE POST // THE POWER OF A BEAUTIFUL DRESS

I thrifted this dress about 4 years ago, I love it when I found it but the I completely forgot about it, last week while I was cleaning my closet and I found it! I thought about giving it away but I am glad I didn't because yesterday I was having one of those days were nothing seem right, I was in the worst mood and I was being very inpatient with the kids, I felt like the worst mother in the planet there for about an hour,so after I put them for a nap I decided to get my booty out of the couch and get all pretty, I saw the dress hanging in my bedroom door and I put it on and it washed my problems away and it made me feel like a million dollar babe! 

oh! and one more thing when Azul woke up from her nap she told me that I look so "beutiful all of tha time" needless to say my heart exploded.

BIRTHDAY WISH LIST.

This is my dream wish list, one can dream right? but what I really really want is a clean house, a dinner made by my husband, my mom's delicious carrot cake and handmade cards from my babies. ohh! and a new hat wouldn't hurt because since I'm letting my hair grow I been living in hats to hide the hot mess.

Oh dear summer nights, you are our favorite! please stay awhile so we can keep exploring new neighborhoods and take more pictures on random apartments that are not ours but they sure are pretty.

Azul is wearing: Gap tunic, bloomers made by me & Marshall's sandals. Luca is wearing: Target shirt, shorts made by me & thrifted sandals. And I am wearing: Vintage Levi's cutoffs, Target t-shirt, Vintage overzised shirt,  Amazon hat, Forever21 bag (from like 6 years ago), jewelry various & thrifted booties.




Hey everybody it's Friday! We have a busy weekend ahead of us, starting tonight with a little pre-Birthday celebration for my little brother that turns 21 this weekend :( why couldn't he stay little? also tomorrow afternoon we will be at the West Terrace of the Iowa State Capitol on a rally for an Immigration reform, my lovely man it's going to be one of the speakers :) and he has prepare a speech that you don't want to miss,  if you are a local in Des Moines you should come and support, I would attach the flyer at the end of the post so you can have all the information in case you are interested, Our family went to one of the worst tragedies this past Spring and we just want this to stop before it happens to anymore families (I will talk more about this topic soon) so I hope you can make it, then we have a rock show featuring three amazing rock bands in Spanish I can't wait for that :) I will make sure I take a lot of photos to show you all.
