Coachella Street Style 2014.

Years ago before I had the twins, I used to dive in magazines and online to read and see all about Coachella to me it was the best music festival, to me  Coachella was a place full of eclectic and personal style.  Now I feel like it has become an arranged  fashion show where everybody wears a uniform and everybody looks "LIKE THEY ARE TRYING TO HARD."

You do know what uniform I am talking about right? yeah, Ikat prints, flower crowns, lace, cut off jean shorts and kimonos. 

So since I was as sick as a dog yesterday with nothing to do, I decided to find a few stylish women that managed to think outside the ikat-printed box, and to my surprise they were a few that caught my eye. I'll leave you with my 10 favorite Coachella looks of 2014.

FASHIONABLE FEMME // DIANA VREELAND.

Diana Vreeland, tastemaker, magazine editor, costume institute institution. Vreeland was perhaps New York city's most recognizable fashion icon. Everybody wants  their life to be like Diana Vreeland's heck I want my life to be like Diana Vreeland's. Before fashion editors became personalities, street style stars before all of that, there was the imminently quotable, largely self invented and always fascinating Mrs. Vreeland. She went from Belle Epoque Paris to Studio 54 and was friends with Coco Chanel, Andy Warhol and Jack Nicholson.

If you have a little time this weekend you should watch "The eye has to travel" it's an awesome documentary about Mrs. Vreeland it's on netflix and trust me you won't regret it.

FASHIONABLE FEMME // LOU DOILLON

Well I really don't think there is need for an introduction for this week's fashionable femme, I mean when your mom is Jane Birkin and your father is Jacques Doillon, possessing and individual, cool sense of self is a given, but personally I would give all the credit to Lou Doillon who has definitely taken the assured genes she's inherited and has come up with a very personal and incredible point of view that is all her own.

STYLE POST // THE POWER OF A BEAUTIFUL DRESS

I thrifted this dress about 4 years ago, I love it when I found it but the I completely forgot about it, last week while I was cleaning my closet and I found it! I thought about giving it away but I am glad I didn't because yesterday I was having one of those days were nothing seem right, I was in the worst mood and I was being very inpatient with the kids, I felt like the worst mother in the planet there for about an hour,so after I put them for a nap I decided to get my booty out of the couch and get all pretty, I saw the dress hanging in my bedroom door and I put it on and it washed my problems away and it made me feel like a million dollar babe! 

oh! and one more thing when Azul woke up from her nap she told me that I look so "beutiful all of tha time" needless to say my heart exploded.

Today's fashionable femme is an international sensation in the worlds of modern art, an icon of the 20th century, a dirty joke-telling smoker, a woman that always wanted to portray her Mexicanidad (Mexican cultural identity) and to me a fashion icon like no other.

If you know me, you know that I have a little bit of an obsession with Frida Kahlo, but who doesn't right?? My mom introduce me to her work at a very early age, I was fascinated by her, to me Kahlo defied the odds, not only by learning to walk again (twice), but by taking the world by storm with her unique artistic vision. And of course her sense of style was out of this world for a 7 year old me!

"I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine she must be out there thinking of me; too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it's true I am her, and I am just as strange as you"

So today we are not going to talk about sad stories that have to do with money :)  today we are going to talk about my biggest girl crush ever, Today I give you Violaine Bernard, fashion director at Velour magazine.

Her gorgeous, effortless French style has me obsessed with her since 2010, oh and then there's her hair!!
