LUCA & AZUL GO SHOPPING // RAYGUN EDITION

Remember our last shopping adventure? if you don't you can read about here, well today we want to show you one of the coolest stores in the planet Raygun, I am serious if you need a super cool t-shirt for your kid head over to Raygun. We walked over there the other day (when it wasn't so freaking cold) it was pretty busy when we got there, the kids don't do good in crowded places, they become little devils and it's only one of me and two of them, so I grabbed a few t-shirts and I hide them in the dressing room to get some photos.

This place is seriously great, the music is always awesome, they are always adding new inventory and the people that work there are super super awesome, they always make the kids and I feel so special so if you are from Des Moines go shop to Raygun now for the coolest T-shirts and the best costumer service ever, oh and if you are not from around here, shop online.

LUCA & AZUL GO SHOPPING...

The twins and I decided to go on a shopping adventure the other day, I know I said that I didn't enjoy shopping actually I said that I hated and I do, but shopping local that I dig because I get to see people that I adore.

There is no secret that I love to dress up my kids, and I know that in the society that we live now every other mama out there loves it too and even do I love my kids I would never buy them a $150.00 dollar jumper because that's just not me I would rather donate that money to a kid in need, but that's just me so since I don't even have the kind of cash to spend I get creative dressing the kids, I design most of their clothes, we thrift some stuff, sometimes I even make them share stuff :) which is fun for me because I get to create two different outfits from one piece, I am always looking for fun and unique things for them so if you are like me, you may like this new little feature that we are going to add to the blog.

We are going to take you on a little adventure around Des Moines, Iowa (yes, we live here and WE LOVE IT.) featuring some awesome local shops where you can find unique and cool stuff for your wee. For all of you friends out there no worries, some of the places we will be visiting also sell online, and just for the record I am not getting paid by anybody to do this, so don't think im trying to make you buy stuff, I just thought that would be awesome to feature the best local shops ever! plus the twins and I get to live that house ;) 

Let's start with Vitae a super cute store own by some very amazing and talentend ladies, oh and very beautiful too, Vitae Design collective has everything from limited run designer clothing, amazing jewelry, vintage finds and now they even have a kids section which I am about to show you right now!                                                         

If you follow me on IG you know that my Azul is a big fan of her Indian shirt from Acanthus Appareal Alyssa and Joshua Bowers are the brains behind Acanthus their stuff is always in my favorite list of things to buy for the kids their designs are always original, they even have stuff for your puppies, so do yourself a favor and go buy Acanthus for the whole family you would be missing out if you don't do it. My sweet and sometimes a bit annoying husband (that's just a joke OK!) always asks for lists, budget lists, grocery lists, to-do lists. He always wants everything on a list which is so not me, but sometimes I try just for him. So when he asked for a Christmas lists for the kids I figured I made nice and easy for him, or not so much for him he only went and look at the prices and then ask me if they really need it that stuff which I obviously said "YES, THEY DO"

My job is to do the shopping and if you knew me, you would now that I HATE SHOPPING, I find the mall extremely annoying at Christmas time, actually all the time! I went to Michael's last Friday just to get a Sketchbook and it took me ten minutes just to find a parking space seriously people?! So instead of going to the stores to deal with crazy people, I went home sat down in the comfort of my living room, drink a few beers and did all my shopping. I found everything the kids ask Santa for on Amazon oh! and of course a few other things for mama, I would post about that some other time when Amner forgets about them.

LITTLE STYLE & A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT THE TWINS...

The most amazing part about being a stay home mama, is that I get to literally see how my kids change daily. Azul is a talking little bird I swear there is not a minute where she is quiet, She sings when she is in the bathroom and says that she is going to be a ballerina that makes me oh so very happy, I can wait to take her to her first ballet class. 

Luca, where do I start! well he is my wild one, we call him savage boy if that tells you something, he really loves super heroes, he makes me think that I may be raising an artist his favorite thing is to paint which means my walls and beige sofa are never safe, but his eyelashes and kisses kill me, so he gets away with a lot of stuff.

I had a meeting last week and I was gone for a little over 4 hours, when I came back they hug me and kiss me like if they hadn't see me for days. I read them a story and put them to bed, when I was kissing Azul she told me "no more wok mami" I kind of told her a little white lie and told her that I was not going to go to work anymore (now that I think about it, that was wrong). I don't know why I didn't just took the time to explain to her that sometimes I have to go to work, maybe because it felt so good to know that they miss me and that they still need me, because lately they like to act so big that sometimes I feel like they are not my babies anymore.


I go back to work for Quinceañeras magazine this week, which means Azul and I are going to have a little conversation, I'm very excited about working for them again, one of the things I love is that I can take the kids with me anytime, but I also know that papi is awesome with them so if they stay at home I know they will be just fine. I just have to be ready to clean the mess.
